Reduced by as much as a third in patients

In a recent randomized, blinded study with 90 cancer patients, who experienced intense pain as a side-effect of cancer treatment, researchers found that intensity of pain was reduced by as much as a third in patients who received acupuncture treatment, whereas no such reduction was seen in patients who did not receive acupuncture treatment.
